| Nominating Committee | | | (from the CASWE Constitution - May 2008) Functions and Powers The Nominating Committee will present a list of candidates to each regular annual meeting of the General Assembly, from which the required number of persons are to be elected to the Board of Directors to replace those who have completed their term of office, or have resigned. In those years when the incumbent President completes his/her term of office, the Nominating Committee shall distinguish among the list of candidates it presents, one or more person(s) who is(are) nominated to be elected President of the Association. Composition The Chairperson of the Nominating Committee will be a member of the Board of Directors. Three other members shall be elected by the General Assembly for a three year, nonrenewable term. Those nominated will be presented by the Nominating Committee to the Annual General Assembly, using the same procedures as with the election of members of the Board. Procedures The Nominating Committee shall inform all delegates of its proposed slate of candidates not later than forty-five days before the date set for the annual meeting. The Nominating Committee shall receive further nominations up to fourteen days before the date set for the annual meeting. Each additional nomination must be proposed and seconded by voting delegates to the General Assembly. No nominations shall be allowed from the floor. People representing the Student Standing Committee, Deans and Directors, ISWEN, RUFUTS, and Field Educators will be selected by their respective constituencies and their names reported to the General Assembly following the vote on the slate of candidates.
